And <br />all of them were trapping in the bus and what is worse, the bus ran out of gas and it was very cold <br />in it. They could do nothing but to wait for help. A man who lived nearby saw that had happened. <br />He and some villagers succeeded in open the door and helped all of them out of the bus. He took <br />them to his home but offered food and water and even some warm clothes to the children. They <br />spent two days in their home and finally help came. All of them were thankfully for their help. <br />Passage 2 <br />A foreign student graduated with honors from a finely university in Germany. He expected to <br />find a good job and have a bright future. But in his disappointment, he wasn't even giving the <br />chance for an interview! The third time he was refused, he phoned the company to ask how. "We <br />don't employ dishonest people in Germany" is the answer. What was wrong? Shortly before he <br />arrived in Germany, he found easy to steal subway rides. But he often rode without a ticket and <br />was caught up three times. Now he had to pay a high price for his own behavior. We should all <br />keep in minds: honesty is the best policy. <br />Passage 3 <br />One year ago,I had a special English lesson hold at the railway station. It was quite different from <br />the regular English classes we were familiar to, for we had no textbooks, no blackboard or no fixed <br />seats. <br /> Gathering at the entrance of the station, we told to collect as many English words and <br />sentences as possible here. Curious and excited, we walked around the station and looked <br />everywhere, search for any information in English. Whenever an English word comes into sight, the <br />class would burst into the cheers as if we had discovered a new world. With the Chinese translation <br /> <br />and vividly pictures, we could figure out its meaning with ease. <br />Now, this unforgettable lesson still encourages me to be an active learner where I go. <br />Passage 4 <br />Dear Mandy, <br /> Pm not doing well in my lessons at school,especial in maths.
